Hey everyone!

We hope all of you seafarers had a great Christmas and are as excited about the new year as we are. 2015 was a great year for us and we are even more excited about what's in store for 2016! Next week we'll be talking a little more about some upcoming content in 2016 and what we've got planned for Salt.

Also, don't forget that Salt is currently 34% off on the Steam Holiday Sale which runs through January 4th. If you've been waiting for the game to go on sale, now is the time to pick it up.

Stay tuned to next week's blog post for an update on our current Cartography Patch, and information regarding features coming in 2016!

Thanks for reading and Happy New Years!

  5. Happy new year! I love this game and you are doing a great work. I look every weekend for new blogposts and someday I hope to see an update where weather is the new feature.

  7. I recently got into the game now that I have the time, and I'm loving it so far. The game fits together very well, but I can't help but feel as if the combat is the weak link. I hope that this gets addressed in the future. For myself and many others, the combat in this game relies very heavily on exploits and feels very non-interactive without them. Even something as simple as a timed block or parry mechanic would go a long way, and I hope that something to address this issue will be considered in the future.

    1. Glad to hear you are liking the game! I agree with you completely on combat so far. It's something that we need to work more on and certainly plan to. We really like the idea of a parry/timed block mechanic, as well as giving enemies the ability to dodge, have more ranged options, etc. Right now we are pretty heavily focused on major content updates like mapping, weather, etc., but were not done with combat and it's something we will be working more on.

      Thanks for the feedback!
